What does the Tennessee Republican State Executive Committee actually do, and why should Republican voters care? I sat down with SEC Committeeman Chris Morris for an in-depth conversation about the future of the Tennessee GOP. We discuss the role of the SEC, the fight over closed primaries, bona fide Republican requirements, party registration, coordinated challenges against conservative incumbents, and why Morris believes the party's bylaws need a complete overhaul. If you've heard the drama surrounding the SEC races but aren't sure what's really at stake, this interview explains how these little-known elections could shape the future of the Republican Party in Tennessee. As always, TruthWire doesn't just tell you what happened. We tell you why it matters.
